My mom came over today and brought Nathaniel a new toy! It is an Elmo doll that plays a guitar. Nathaniel LOVES the darn thing. He has been dragging it around all morning. My mom likes to buy gifts months or year ahead when she sees sales. She kept this doll in the garage and unfortunalely the fake leather jacket that Elmo is wearing has deterriorated! His arms were full of black stuff from hugging the doll. So I think we have to throw it away. That black stuff got all over my couch too. You know when your tennis racket grip starts to get old it comes off onto your hand? Yep, that's the stuff. Lesh told me we are going to have to buy him one now. You moms out there with Elmo dolls- do they drive you crazy?
We have the "Elmo Loves You" doll and Cassidy LOVES it. It's pretty cute - you push his hand and he says stuff like that, and then you put his other hand up to his mouth and he blows kisses. She kisses him back all the time. :) I like him, but he doesn't sing a song - that would maybe get old. Cassidy won't watch TV but she LOVES Elmo videos on YouTube...for whatever reason, Elmo is her thing and I'm happy to oblige!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same doll as Kristen. B got it for Carly one year for Valentine's Day. It is in a "less-obvious" place in our house and maybe Zachary won't notice :) I cannot stand Elmo for some reason. But these kids like what they like, and us parents are happy to oblige for now!
ReplyDeleteOh jeez! Is he in the Elmo phase!?!? I don't know what it is about that monster. ALL kids love him. It's a rite of passage I guess. Those are precious pics though!
ReplyDeleteJeriah Loves Elmo since little and still that is the only thing he will watch! I like it cause is educational, Im a bad teacher and Elmo taught Jeriah numbers, alphabet, and words. I actually like Elmo laughs! As long Nathaniel is happy and learns! Plus, it keeps them entertain when you need to do things.
