Baby Mitchell

We welcomed Mitchell Jonah on July 23rd, 2013 at 12:41 PM. He weighed 6lbs. 14oz. and was 21 in. long.  It was a super fast and crazy delivery, but I'm so thankful he arrived healthy!  I was in labor for 3 hours and at the last minute Mitchell turned and he was born transverse breech with a knot in the cord, and I was able to deliver him without a C-Section.  I'm thankful for an amazing OB who let me try and deliver normally.  Mitchell is such a sweet baby.  He is a GREAT eater, ha! and he is slowly stretching out his nighttime feedings.  I love to snuggle my little man.

Here is Mitchell at 1 month! He has chunked up quite a bit!  I know he weighs over 10lbs. now and is a lot longer.  He is barely fitting into his 0-3month clothing!  He is gonna be a big boy!

Happy Birthday to Grandma!

Today we celebrated my mom's birthday and her Mother's Day.  Her  birthday is always around Mother's Day so we usually celebrate them both together.  We headed out to a local park/splash pad for a good ole time!  The boys- all 5 of them, sixth boy on the way, had a blast!  My mom ate up the time with all of her grandkids.  We really did have a great afternoon together.  Of course I missed my dad terribly, but I am so blessed to have my family.

This is how boys pose for pictures!!

They were playing store and buying things.

The wind blew her candles out!

My heart melts over these 3 buddies/cousins.

Nathaniel imparting knowledge, ha!

All 5 grandsons- Josiah, Samuel, Nathaniel, Jace, and Jeriah- Oh and they posed this way all by themselves!!
Glad I had the camera handy!

My brother Aaron, my sis-in-love Zenia and their 3 boys

These boys were pooped out already, so these are the best smiles they had!

Easter!

This year's Easter was so much fun!  Nathaniel is at a great age to truly understand the meaning of Easter- Jesus is Risen!!  We had a great time dying eggs, going to Easter egg hunts, and spending time with family.  One sweet moment was when we were praying for our Easter meal and Nana was talking about what Jesus did after he rose from the dead and Nathaniel piped in and said, "He went to see all his friends!"  So sweet!  Samuel had a fun time too and got into the egg hunt after a few minutes.

On Good Friday we had powdered donuts for breakfast- a treat! And daddy was home so we dyed eggs!

On Saturday Nathaniel and I headed to HEB for the egg hunt.

The boys Easter baskets!

I made resurrection buns to help explain the meaning of Easter to Nathaniel.
They were yummy too!

Then after church on Sunday we headed to Nana and Papa's house.  Nana has a table set up for the boys and she always decorates it so cute.  They have a little treat bowl and Nathaniel always asks Nana if there is something new in his treat bucket.  Both boys had fun discovering their goodies!

Nathaniel just loved cuddling his little cousin L!
