Today a friend had us over for an Easter Egg Hunt and lunch along with Peep cupcakes. This is Nathaniel's first Easter Egg Hunt! He really did not hunt, mommy had to do all the picking up, then he just wanted to put them in his mouth. At one point we had to dig half of it out of his mouth. This boy still puts everything in his mouth so I have to watch him! He had a great time being outside with my friend's kids and wanted to be a big kid just like them. He practiced his standing up maneuver and worked on mastering it. He doesn't like the feel of grass on his knees. He totally smashed the cupcake on his face and made a big mess. It was great fun had by all!!
Here is Nathaniel putting the egg in his mouth.
Trying to figure out how to open his egg.
He just wanted to swing and hold his egg.
This was an actual bird that built it's next on top of a bird house- go figure!
Cute cupcakes!
Here is the litle cutie enjoying his cupcake and making a big mess!!
I was reminded today is the celebration of the Passover. Jews will be celebrating thier freedom from slavery in Egypt, thier Exodus and how God saved them from the final plague. God heard thier cry and delivered them. He delivers us from so many things in our lives. We experience trials and sometimes go through very difficult circumstances, but God is so good that he delivers us from them. I love this song that explains this so well.
Song by Mandissa- My Deliverer
I was so helpless
Where did the light go
I had no hope left
Deep down in my soul
I was watchin'
I was waitin'
I was prayin'
I was stayin' down on my knees
That's right where You found me.
My Deliverer, You rescued me from all that held me captive
My Deliverer, You set me free
Now I'm alive and I can live
So every moment I will give you praise
My Deliverer

Cutie Patootie! We had a mock egg hunt in our backyard and Z wanted nothing to do with them either. Happy Easter! He is risen! He is risen indeed!
