The Lake! Lots of Fun and a Frightening Experience!

This past week Lesh took some time off so we could venture out with our good friends the Caraways to their lake house.  We had an absolutely fabulous time!!  We woke up and put on our comfy clothes, ate yummy breakfasts, played outside with the deer, road on the boat, walked around, watched the kids play; it was just an overall very relaxing vacation.  We are grateful to have spent the weekend with great company!

Nathaniel had a blast with Zach and Carly and it was fun watching him wake up and say, "Zach?"  These two boys are going to get into lots of good trouble together in the future I can tell.  The adults were sitting at the dining room table having great conversation and in the background Wendy hears Zach laugh and giggle, "Do again, do again!"  So she gets up to see what Zach is laughing hysterically at and she laughs out loud too.  I get up and Nathaniel is standing in front of the fridge soaking wet!  He had been putting his hand on the water dispenser on the fridge and standing there getting all wet.  There was quite a large puddle of water on the ground too.  So each time Nathaniel did it Zach laughed and told him to do it again!  I should have taken a picture of it.  It was too funny.  I didn't even gripe at him, it was just one of those funny moments. 

On Saturday the Caraway's lake neighbor approached Brandon outside.  Wendy and I were a little curious as to what she was talking to him about.  He comes inside and tells us that she had asked him if he would come by around 10pm and beat loudly on the door.  You think this is weird?  Well she had a big group of junior high boys and girls staying with her and each night they had been telling scary stories to each other.  So she wanted to scare them good!  Ha, ha, ha! Now this was right down Brandon's alley!  10pm came and we turned off all the lights in our house so they couldn't see.  Brandon had instructed Lesh to to make a scary scream on one side of the house- which sounded like a wring wraith from Lord of the Rings and then right after Brandon was going to pound on the door.  Wendy and I left the side door open so we could hear Brandon and Lesh do their thing.  The lady left a flashlight on the porch for Brandon so he could flicker the light into the house.  So Wendy and I watch from the side of the house and we see Brandon run to the front of the house and points the flash light around.  We see Lesh run to the back of the house and then Lesh makes his scream and instantly Wendy and I hear all the kids in the house screaming in terror!!!!  Wendy and I were laughing hysterically and jumping up and down!  Brandon then pounds on the front door and makes moaning sounds and the kids are still screaming their heads off.  Brandon and Lesh run back to the house and we are all laughing our heads off! It was so much fun!!  Our guys sure had a blast scaring those kids!  I'm still laughing about it today. 
Anyways, it was a great weekend and the much needed relaxing hit the spot!

 It was so cool that the deer here just walk up to you to eat.  Nathaniel loved it!
